The vulnerable sector screening was established to provide screening of individuals who intend on working or volunteering with the vulnerable sector. A vulnerable person is defined as a person who, because of their age, a disability, or other circumstances, whether temporary or permanent are (a) in a position of dependence on others or (b) are otherwise at a greater risk than the general population of being harmed by a person in a position or authority or trust relative to them.

A vulnerable sector screening search may provide the following information:

Beginning February 6, 2012 York Regional Police will be implementing changes in the way Vulnerable Sector Screening checks are performed. The new Vulnerable Sector Screening check will now be referred to as a PVSC (Police Vulnerable Sector Check).

Coaches & Staff Evaluation

Posted by Kevin Kent at 04:30PM PST (2 Comments)

Parents,
We request that you fill out your Coach and staff evaluation forms for us and get them into us as soon as possible. Last year we took the evaluations very serious and actually changed out 5 coaches based on your feedback. It is very important to note that some of the rumours we have heard about our evaluations could not be further from the truth. We have heard that they are not taken serious or the coach will find out what I have said or my son or daughter will not have a chance to make the team. The GMHA executive want you to know that this is 100% false and none of these things are true or can happen. We very much value your opinion and truly need to hear from you to help us make the right decisions. Please take the time to get them into the office attention to myself or email them directly to me at kevin.kent@rogers.com to truly make sure that your evaluations will be recieved confidentially. The forms can be found under the documents tab on the main page and then click on Coach evaluation tab at the bottom. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me anytime.

Respectfully,

Kevin Kent
Coaching Director – GMHA
